Data and purposes

We process account identifiers, profile details, saved items, reviews, submissions, host business and accommodation details, room inventory, booking details, guest contact details, payment references, messages, technical logs, device and visit data, consent choices and support records.

We use this data to provide accounts and bookings, publish and moderate content, communicate about transactions, prevent fraud, secure and diagnose the service, handle refunds and disputes, meet legal duties and, with consent where required, measure use and market STAYTORIDE.

Lawful bases

Contract is used where data is needed to provide an account, host service or booking. Legal obligation is used for tax, accounting, fraud and regulatory records. Legitimate interests are used for service security, moderation, support, basic operations and defending claims after balancing individual rights. Consent is used for optional marketing communications and non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Recipients and providers

Booking details are shared with the relevant Host. Stripe processes payments and connected-account onboarding. Lovable Cloud provides hosting, database, authentication, storage and transactional email infrastructure. Mapbox and Google Maps provide map features where used. Meta receives Pixel events only after applicable consent. Operational advisers, authorities and insurers receive data only when necessary and lawful.

Legal classification note

STAYTORIDE is registered as controller with the UK ICO. A Host normally receives guest data to provide its own accommodation service. The precise controller, processor or joint-controller allocation for every activity is pending legal review. This notice describes the actual data flow and does not itself settle that classification.

International transfers

Providers and Hosts may process data in the UK, European Economic Area and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful safeguard offered by the provider.

Retention

Uncompleted support and submission records are reviewed and deleted when no longer needed. Consent records and security logs are retained while needed to demonstrate choices and protect the service. Booking, payment, refund, commission, tax and dispute records are normally retained for 7 years after the relevant transaction or longer where a live claim or legal duty requires it. Marketing records are kept until withdrawal plus a suppression record to honour the request.

Deleting an account removes the public profile, saved items and reviews. Booking identity and contact fields may remain in restricted transaction records for the retention period above, then are deleted or anonymised where feasible.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and withdraw consent. You may complain to the UK ICO at ico.org.uk or your local authority. Contact contact@staytoride.com. Identity verification may be required.

Security and children

We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted administrative access and monitoring. No online service can promise absolute security. STAYTORIDE is not intended for children to book accommodation independently.
