La ruta
A compact loop around the Brocken, Germany's northernmost high mountain. East to the rock gorge of the Bodetal at Thale, across the high plateau to Braunlage, up to Torfhaus with its Brocken view, then down past the Oker reservoir to Bad Harzburg and back along the northern edge.

Track o ruta, cómo cargarlo en tu GPS
Lo que descargas es un track GPX, un rastro denso y ajustado a la carretera de la línea exacta, con altitud en cada punto. No es una ruta GPX (una lista corta de waypoints que tu dispositivo recalcula). Los tracks conservan nuestra elección de carretera, las rutas dejan que el dispositivo elija y pueden mandarte por una autovía aburrida.
Cómo usarlo en tu navegador:
- BMW Navigator / Garmin Zumo / zumo XT: impórtalo como track y luego Convert to Route (o Trip Planner, nuevo viaje desde track) si quieres indicaciones giro a giro. Deja Recalculation desactivado para que no se salga de nuestra línea.
- TomTom Rider: importa el GPX en MyDrive, se carga como track o itinerario. Activa Follow the exact route para que no recalcule.
- Calimoto: abre el GPX y elige Import as tour, Calimoto sigue la línea del track.
- Kurviger / komoot / MyRouteApp: abre el GPX y elige Import as track para mantener la elección de carretera. Elige Import as route solo si quieres que la app recalcule según tu perfil de moto.
- Google Maps / Apple Maps: no leen GPX. Usa el mapa de esta página o importa antes el archivo en una app compatible con GPX.
Regla práctica: si tu dispositivo pregunta "track o ruta?", elige track para seguir nuestra línea exacta, elige ruta solo si quieres que recalcule.

Our track is 126 km with about 1,370 m of climbing, roughly 3 to 4 hours of riding without stops. Harz tourism publishes its own motorcycle tours of about 160 to 247 km, ours is a shorter day loop.
Why ride it
Endless forest curves, the half-timbered towns of Wernigerode and Blankenburg, the Bodetal gorge, and the two meeting points Harz tourism itself names for riders: Torfhaus and the Oker reservoir.
Hazards
Busy weekends with lots of bikes and day trippers, deer and wild boar at dawn and dusk, wet leaves and damp shaded forest corners, and speed cameras in the towns.
