L'itinerario
A compact loop around the Brocken, Germany's northernmost high mountain. East to the rock gorge of the Bodetal at Thale, across the high plateau to Braunlage, up to Torfhaus with its Brocken view, then down past the Oker reservoir to Bad Harzburg and back along the northern edge.

Traccia o percorso, come caricarlo sul tuo GPS
Quello che scarichi è una traccia GPX, una scia fitta agganciata alla strada che segue la linea esatta, con la quota su ogni punto. Non è un percorso GPX (una breve lista di waypoint che il dispositivo ricalcola). Le tracce mantengono la nostra scelta di strade, i percorsi lasciano decidere al dispositivo e possono mandarti su una noiosa autostrada.
Come usarlo sul navigatore:
- BMW Navigator / Garmin Zumo / zumo XT: importa come traccia, poi Convert to Route (o Trip Planner, nuovo viaggio dalla traccia) se vuoi le indicazioni curva per curva. Tieni Recalculation disattivato per restare sulla nostra linea.
- TomTom Rider: importa il GPX in MyDrive, si carica come traccia o itinerario. Attiva Follow the exact route così non ricalcola.
- Calimoto: apri il GPX e scegli Import as tour, Calimoto segue la linea della traccia.
- Kurviger / komoot / MyRouteApp: apri il GPX e scegli Import as track per mantenere la scelta delle strade. Scegli Import as route solo se vuoi che l'app ricalcoli sul profilo della tua moto.
- Google Maps / Apple Maps: non leggono il GPX. Usa la mappa di questa pagina oppure importa prima il file in un'app compatibile GPX.
Regola pratica: se il dispositivo chiede "traccia o percorso?", scegli traccia per seguire la nostra linea esatta, percorso solo se vuoi che ricalcoli.

Our track is 126 km with about 1,370 m of climbing, roughly 3 to 4 hours of riding without stops. Harz tourism publishes its own motorcycle tours of about 160 to 247 km, ours is a shorter day loop.
Why ride it
Endless forest curves, the half-timbered towns of Wernigerode and Blankenburg, the Bodetal gorge, and the two meeting points Harz tourism itself names for riders: Torfhaus and the Oker reservoir.
Hazards
Busy weekends with lots of bikes and day trippers, deer and wild boar at dawn and dusk, wet leaves and damp shaded forest corners, and speed cameras in the towns.
