De route
The Nockalm Road is a toll road of 34 km with 52 hairpin bends through the Nock Mountains National Park, with two summits over 2,000 m. From Ebene Reichenau the loop climbs the steep Turracher Höhe, drops into the Mur valley at Predlitz and returns to Innerkrems through Ramingstein.
Werkt met Garmin, TomTom, BMW Navigator, Calimoto, Kurviger, komoot, MyRouteApp. Importeer als track om exact de juiste lijn te rijden. Weggegevens van OpenStreetMap (ODbL); hoogtegegevens van SRTM.
Track vs. route, zo laad je dit in je navigatie
Wat je downloadt is een GPX-track: een nauwkeurig, op de weg getekend spoor van de exacte lijn, met hoogtelijnen op elk punt. Het is geen GPX-route (een korte lijst van tussenpunten waar je toestel zelf een route tussen berekent). Tracks behouden onze gekozen wegen; bij routes kiest je toestel zelf de weg en kun je zomaar over een saaie snelweg gestuurd worden.
Zo gebruik je het op je navigatiesysteem:
- BMW Navigator / Garmin Zumo / zumo XT: importeer als spoor/track en kies daarna 'Converteer naar route' (of Reisplanner, nieuwe reis van spoor) als je afslag-voor-afslag instructies wilt. Zet Herberekenen uit zodat hij op onze lijn blijft.
- TomTom Rider: importeer de GPX in MyDrive, deze wordt geladen als een track/reisplan. Schakel 'Volg de exacte route' in zodat er niet wordt herberekend.
- Calimoto: open de GPX en kies 'Importeer als rit', Calimoto volgt de tracklijn.
- Kurviger / komoot / MyRouteApp: open de GPX en kies 'Importeer als track' om de exacte wegen te behouden. Kies alleen 'Importeer als route' als je wilt dat de app een nieuwe route berekent voor jouw rijprofiel.
- Google Maps / Apple Maps: deze ondersteunen geen GPX. Gebruik de kaart op deze pagina voor richtingsaanwijzingen, of importeer het bestand eerst in een app die wel GPX ondersteunt.

Why ride it
Smooth, well kept asphalt, constant hairpins, wide alpine views with no ski lifts in sight, and the lake on top of the Turracher Höhe.
Hazards
Cattle on the road, steep gradients on the Turracher Höhe, cyclists, and sudden afternoon storms.
Fuel
No fuel on the Nockalm Road. Fill up before Innerkrems, then again in Predlitz or Ramingstein.
