A rota
The long companion to our Majesty of Troodos loop. From Nicosia up the Solea valley to Kakopetria and Troodos Square near Mount Olympos, down through Platres to the wine village of Omodos, across the quiet Paphos forest roads to Pano Panagia, and down to the north coast at Polis and Latchi. A short paved run reaches the Baths of Aphrodite at the edge of Akamas, then the road takes you to Paphos.
Compatível com Garmin, TomTom, BMW Navigator, Calimoto, Kurviger, komoot, MyRouteApp. Importa como track para seguir a linha exata. Dados de estrada do OpenStreetMap (ODbL), altimetria do SRTM.
Track ou rota, como carregar isto no teu GPS
O que descarregas é um track GPX, um traçado denso colado à estrada com a linha exata e altitude em cada ponto. Não é uma rota GPX (uma lista curta de pontos que o teu aparelho recalcula). Os tracks mantêm a nossa escolha de estradas, as rotas deixam o aparelho decidir e podem mandar te por uma autoestrada aborrecida.
Como usar no teu navegador:
- BMW Navigator / Garmin Zumo / zumo XT: importa como track e depois Convert to Route (ou Trip Planner, nova viagem a partir do track) se quiseres indicações curva a curva. Mantém o Recalculation desligado para não sair da nossa linha.
- TomTom Rider: importa o GPX no MyDrive, carrega como track ou itinerário. Ativa Follow the exact route para não recalcular.
- Calimoto: abre o GPX e escolhe Import as tour, o Calimoto segue a linha do track.
- Kurviger / komoot / MyRouteApp: abre o GPX e escolhe Import as track para manter a escolha de estradas. Só escolhe Import as route se quiseres que a app recalcule para o perfil da tua mota.
- Google Maps / Apple Maps: não leem GPX. Usa o mapa desta página ou importa primeiro o ficheiro numa app compatível com GPX.
Regra prática: se o aparelho perguntar "track ou rota?", escolhe track para seguir a nossa linha exata, rota só se quiseres que recalcule.

Painted churches of the Solea valley, the cool pine roads around Troodos Square, wine at Omodos, the empty mountain roads to Pano Panagia, and the turquoise bay of Latchi.
Hazards
Left-hand traffic, gravel and goats on mountain corners, steep hairpins, summer heat and coach traffic near Paphos.
Fuel
Fuel in Nicosia, Kakopetria, Platres, Polis and Paphos. Few stations between Omodos and Polis, fill up in Platres.
Best months and difficulty
March to June and September to November. Difficulty: moderate.
Suggested stops
Lunch in Omodos or Platres. Overnight in Polis or Latchi to split it into two easy days.
