Is this a booking site? Do I pay through StayToRide?

StayToRide is a directory first, but many stays now show direct booking links so you can reserve without hunting around. When a stay doesn't have a live booking connection, we point you to their own site or contact details. We never charge riders. Some of those booking links are affiliate links — if you book through them, the booking site pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those links never influence which stays appear on the directory or how they're ranked.

Why are some areas still light on stays?

Every stay on the map was added by a real rider who stayed there — we won't fill it with auto-imported listings just to look bigger. As the rider community grows, the map fills out. If you know a great place, that's where you come in.

Why do I need to sign up at all?

You don't, to browse. Anyone can use the map and the directory without an account. Signing up only matters if you want to suggest a stay, leave a review, or get notified when new stays appear in countries you ride in.

Who reviews the submissions?

A small team of riders (right now, mostly the founder and a few founding members). Every submission gets a sanity check before going live so the directory stays trustworthy. It's not gatekeeping — it's the difference between a real recommendation and spam.

Can hotel/B&B owners submit their own place?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We now have a dedicated host submission form so owners of motorcycle-friendly stays can apply to be listed directly. The submission still goes through the same rider-led review process to keep quality high, but you no longer need to wait for a guest to suggest you.

Is it free? Will it stay free?

Free to browse, free to suggest, free to review. For riders, always. The site is funded by affiliate links from booking sites and a small number of travel and gear partners (ferries and tunnels, riding gear, navigation). Those partners never affect which stays are listed or how they're ranked, and they never cost you a penny extra.

Which countries are covered?

Europe-first. As of today, the map covers wherever our founding riders have stayed. The more riders join, the more countries fill in.
