Auberge Tissadrine
Rider experience
Authentic decorated Moroccan stile hotel at the foot of the famous Dades Gorge switch backs. The hotel is very cosy. Book several nights and ride the switch backs a few times. On top you find a place which serves great food and drinks (Overlooking the switch backs). Ride the gorge for another 40 or 50 km along what looks like a small version of the Gran Canyon . A highlight of you Morrocan trip.

This guesthouse is a massive win if you are touring the Moroccan mountain passes. It sits in a spectacular spot right on the riverbank in the middle of the Dades Gorge. The rooms are clean, spacious, and come with private balconies that look straight out over the canyon cliffs. The hosts, Omar and Mohammed, are genuinely nice guys who go out of their way to look after you, even making sure the rooms are heated and warm before you arrive. The food on-site is top-tier—don't bother riding out for dinner because the tagines served here are some of the best you'll get in the region. Having reliable, safe private parking right on the property makes it incredibly easy to pull in and completely switch off.
Things to know

The property only accepts cash payments, so make sure you pull out enough Moroccan Dirhams in a larger town before heading deep into the gorge corridor. While the rooms do have heating, some riders have mentioned that the rooms can feel a bit chilly or drafty overnight during the colder winter months. Also, standard check-in hours only run until 9:30 PM, so map out your route carefully to avoid rolling up too late.
