Future Inn, Plymouth
Rider experience
Modern comfortable hotel. Plenty of free private parking on-site (not gated/ secure). We did not experience any issues as the complex is quite private and monitored by CCTV. Lift access to rooms. Restaurant and bar are very good. Comfortable rooms. Twin room has 2 double beds. Aldi and M&S Supermarkets very close by. McDonald's across the road. Used as an overnight stop for the ferry to Santander.

This place is a super practical choice if you're catching an early morning ferry out of Plymouth to France or Spain, or just tracking down to explore the South West. Because it’s located in a business park on the north side of town, you get to completely skip the traffic and tight streets of the city center after a long stint on the highway. The rooms have proper, powerful AC which is a lifesaver if you've been sweating in leathers all afternoon. Having the Fishbone restaurant and bar right on the ground floor means you can park up, ditch your gear, and immediately grab a cold pint and dinner without having to look for somewhere else to go.

It's a standard, modern commercial hotel, so it lacks that classic country pub character or scenic overlook. While the private parking is massive, level, and covered by CCTV, it is entirely open-air and doesn't have a secure perimeter gate or locked garage, so make sure to bring your own good disc locks and chains to lock the bikes together overnight. Also, you're close to a major hospital, so you might hear an occasional siren, but the soundproofing in the rooms holds up well.
