At Trecastle, we know that after a great day on the road, it's the simple things that matter most: a friendly welcome, somewhere comfortable to relax, and knowing your motorcycle is safe and secure for the night.
Our Chambre d'Hôtes is in the market town of Châlus, which is surrounded by quiet roads, rolling landscapes, forests, lakes, and charming French villages that are perfect for exploring by motorcycle. There are numerous Châteaux to visit or just admire as you roll past, and plenty of places to stop to savour the quieter French way of life.
Whether you're touring through France, heading towards the Dordogne, or simply looking for a few days of wonderful riding, we'd love to welcome you to our home.
As riders ourselves, we know that one of the most important things for staying anywhere is knowing our bikes are safe. That's why we offer secure indoor garage parking, so your bike is protected overnight, while you enjoy a comfortable stay and a restful night's sleep.
You will also have access to small tools, an air compressor and our local knowledge to help your stay run smoothly.

Trecastle is a lovely, warm townhouse B&B run by Pete and Anna, a British couple who moved out to France. Crucially for anyone on two wheels, Pete is a massive motorcycle enthusiast himself, so he totally understands what riders need. They have a fantastic, completely secure locked garage on site where you can tuck your bikes away overnight with zero stress. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and right across the road from one of the town's historic châteaux. Plus, the continental breakfast they serve in the morning is top-tier, giving you plenty of fuel before heading back out on the smooth, quiet regional blacktop.
